Rilla Rocket

Birth Record: I don't have the original document, but I do know she was born October 9, 1891 in Ontario, probably in the Woodstock area.

Marriage Record: She married (Alfred, "Mose") Charles Biddis on September 19, 1916 in Woodstock, Ontario.

From the Sentinel Review, Tuesday September 19, 1916. The heading is "Biddis-Rockett."

"A quiet wedding was solemnized at the Dundas Street Methodist Parsonage on Saturday evening when the Reverend Thomas Green united in marriage Miss Rilla Rockett of this city and Private Charles A. Biddis of the 168th Battalion, Camp Borden. They were attended by Miss Doris Plummer and Garfied Green."

Groups/clubs/Society Records:

Pictures; Audio Recordings; Documents; Personal Notes: My mother filled in some information about Rilla. She was the youngest of the Rockett children, and when her mother (Sarah melinda) had a stroke (in her seventies?), Rilla had to stay home and take care of her. Rilla had a sister named Rose Rockett (Isn't that a great name).

Spelling Variations:I wonder where the name "Rilla" came from? Is it short for something else? A family name?

Addresses/Migration Record/Passenger Ships/City Directories:Rilla came from Woodstock, Ontario and migrated to Flint Michigan (why? When?). From the 1916 Woodstock Directory: address, 625 Adelaide Street (where is this?).
